About this workshop

Join us for an exclusive drone photography workshop in North and East Iceland, where you’ll capture breathtaking landscapes from above while mastering the art of aerial photography.

This hands-on workshop covers everything from drone setup to advanced shooting techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, your experienced local guide—an expert in drone photography—will provide personalized instruction to help you get the most out of your drone.

To maximize your experience, we’ll fly from Reykjavík to Egilsstaðir, where your guide will greet you and lead you to some of East Iceland’s most stunning hidden gems off the beaten path, including Stuðlagil Canyon, Dyrfjöll Mountains, Hengifoss, and Litlanesfoss waterfalls. You might have heard of some locations, but most of the places we visit are hidden gems our local guides know well. We’ll spend three nights in Egilsstaðir before heading north to Lake Mývatn, our base for the next three nights. In North Iceland, we’ll explore geothermal wonders, Hverfjall Crater, Víti, Aldeyjarfoss waterfall, Goðafoss waterfall, and Dimmuborgir—all perfect for capturing dramatic aerial imagery.

With a small group size (maximum six participants), you’ll have plenty of space to fly your drone and receive one-on-one guidance. We’ll travel in a custom 4×4 Sprinter van equipped with a charging station, ensuring you can keep your batteries powered up and maximize your flight time.

Ready to take your drone photography to new heights? Join us for an unforgettable aerial adventure in Iceland!

Testimonials

I joined the Highlands of Iceland Drone Photo Workshop in late Sep 2023. Our guide Skarpi, who is also the owner of Arctic Exposure, is an excellent guide with in-depth knowledge in photography and specifically drone photography. I really appreciate him sharing his expertise in drone photography and landscape photography in general. He made me feel more confident in flying my drone in the Icelandic weather, so I can take time to compose the image and get the results I really wanted.
