About this workshop

This unique photography workshop offers you the opportunity to have close-up encounters with the majestic snowy owls of Canada for five full days. This allows you to get the most out of your experience. Wintering owls are often found on private property, and we have recruited specialized owl photography experts who give us access to incredible areas where the owls can be found. There is no interference from the public or other photography groups in the area we shoot in.

The Snowy Owl Photo Workshop takes place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. This area is a natural wintering ground for the snowy owls who have been frequenting this area for years. The owls have been feeding for weeks before our arrival, so they are used to people and come in close, allowing for fantastic photography opportunities. We photograph the owls in the morning and afternoon while they are naturally inactive, and it tends to be too bright for the birds during midday. We work with the schedules of the owls so that you will have numerous opportunities to take incredible photographs of the Snowy Owl.

We take care of all accommodations and transport during the workshop for you. All you need to do is book your spot and a flight to Saskatoon!

Testimonials

We just got back from attending the Autumn workshop in Iceland with Skarpi. We had an excellent experience, learned lots of new photography techniques, met new friends, and saw many special locations. Skarpi looked after all our needs and ensured all our expectations were met. Great food, accommodations, transportation, care and attention throughout. He worked hard to ensure we had photographic opportunities even when the weather was not cooperating. We highly recommend Arctic Exposure and Skarpi!
