Photo Workshops in Iceland in Fall
Fall is a short but wonderful season in Iceland. From September to October, it transforms into a fall wonderland with the vegetation changing from bright greens to rich shades of orange, yellow and reds. It is quite glorious and a wonderful time of the year for photography.
During this time of year, you can get an amazing balance of light as day and night are equally long during the fall equinox. Highlighting the glorious display of fall colors during the day and the return of darkness might bring you the northern lights.
You can photograph national parks, cascading waterfalls, black sand beaches, glacier lagoons and a variety of known and unknown landmarks in their fall colors by day or under the northern lights at night.
You will travel in style in our custom made 4×4 super jeeps giving you access to remote locations not accessible with other vehicles.
As always in Iceland expect all types of weather. September can be rather mild with a bit of wind and rain. October is similar but it will start to get colder and we might see the first snow. The dry climate will give us an average temperature from 3°c – 11°c (37°F -52°F).
To get the most out of our fall workshops we recommend that people are reasonably fit. You need to be willing to embrace the weather, as we spend a lot of time outside and be able to do short walks on uneven terrain.
