Photo Workshops in Canada

The Snowy Owl Photo Workshop takes place north of Toronto, Canada—an established wintering ground where snowy owls have returned for many years. With our snowy owl expert, we have access to private land where the owls in the area are accustomed to human presence, and they tend to allow a close approach by photographers.

 

 

We visit a variety of locations to photograph the owls during the morning and late afternoon, when they are naturally less active, and the light is most favorable. Midday is typically too bright for optimal photography, so our schedule is designed around the owls’ natural rhythms. By working with their behavior and timing, you’ll have numerous opportunities to capture stunning images of these magnificent birds.
