About
Ragga was born and raised in Iceland and grew up on a farm north of Vatnajökull glacier among sheep and reindeer.
She graduated from the Icelandic Guide School in the spring of 2022 and has been a tour guide since. She has degrees in media studies and photography, and worked for a long time as a journalist and photographer at a publishing company.
Ragga lives an active lifestyle; off-road running, cross-country skiing and mountain hiking are her life and passion. She enjoys getting to know new people, diverse cultures and all the wonders that life has to offer. She lives in Hafnarfjörður, is married and has two sons, 22 and 24 years old.
Photography
Ragga has shot with Canon since she bought her first SLR camera at age 15 years old. She uses a variety of lenses, and mostly Canon EOS R. Her specialties are photojournalism and portraiture, along with interior and food photography for magazines. On hikes and during outdoor activities Ragga also does a lot of snapping on her iPhone.
She has held three photo exhibitions: Foreigners in the Fjord (Akureyri, 2005), Twenty (Akureyri, 2007), Farmers at Jökuldalur (Múlaþing, 2016). She has also been nominated several times for the Icelandic Press Photographs of the Year.
