A dedicated guide and safety expert, he has spent his career sharing Iceland’s remote wilderness while ensuring the safety of those who venture into it. For 15 years, Gísli Páll served as the head of training for the snowmobile squad at Landsbjörg, Iceland’s Search and Rescue organization. Since 2011, he has been guiding and driving custom 4×4 supertrucks across Iceland’s rugged Highlands — accumulating over 15 years of experience behind the wheel in the country’s most demanding conditions. A member of ICE-SAR (Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue) since 1992, Gísli Páll brings nearly 35 years of search and rescue expertise to every adventure. His specialized training in glacier safety and security has made him an invaluable resource for anyone exploring Iceland’s ice caps and glacial regions.
