Þórsmörk

We run our Þórsmörk tour all year round and we recommend it for the hiking photographer. Þórsmörk is a mountain ridge in Iceland that was named after the Norse god Þór (Thor). It is situated in the south of Iceland between the glaciers Tindfjallajökull and Eyjafjallajökull. The name Þórsmörk properly refers only to the mountain ridge between the rivers Krossá, Þröngá, and Markarfljót. Þórsmörk is one of the most popular hiking areas in Iceland. We will photograph mountain ridges, waterfalls, canyons and in winter Northern Lights. You need to be wearing good hiking shoes and warm clothes and we will provide you with a recommended clothing and equipment list.
