For over two decades, Halldór Kolbeins has been capturing the raw, untamed beauty of Iceland through his lens. A professional photographer with a true passion for the land, he has journeyed extensively across every corner of the country — from rugged coastlines to remote highlands — in pursuit of the perfect shot.
Growing up amidst the dramatic landscapes of North and West Iceland, Halldór developed a deep appreciation for nature’s constant transformation. He recalls vivid sunsets and dazzling northern lights, untouched by city glow — experiences that shaped his artistic vision and lifelong love for the outdoors.

Today, he primarily works as a photojournalist for Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Iceland, while also sharing his expertise as a photography guide and workshop leader, inspiring others to experience and capture Iceland through their own lens.
