Current Photography Gear

Chris captures the world with the exceptional quality of the Sony a1, Hasselblad X2D, and Pentax 645Z — each camera offering a unique combination of precision, resolution, and versatility to meet the demands of any photography challenge. For moments that demand compact portability without compromising on image quality, he also relies on the Fujifilm X100VI, a sleek yet powerful camera that excels in both urban and natural environments. When it comes to aerial shots, Chris turns to the DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone, ensuring stunning, high-definition footage from above to complement his land-based photography.

About

Born and raised in Iceland, Chris Lund has been immersed in photography from a young age. He learned the craft through hands-on experience, working closely with his father, Mats Wibe Lund, a renowned figure in Icelandic aerial photography. Chris further honed his skills at Fotografskolen/Medieskolerne in Viborg, Denmark, graduating in 2003. A passionate landscape photographer and certified guide, Chris specializes in a wide range of photography, including landscapes, portraits, corporate events, and architecture. He also offers fine art printing for artists and galleries, as well as prepress work and color separation for publishing companies. With over 20 years of experience working across Iceland, Norway, and Denmark, Chris has cultivated a deep understanding of diverse landscapes and cultures. Fluent in four languages, he enjoys connecting with new people and sharing his love for photography. “For me, the best moments in life are those when I connect with nature. That includes connecting with myself and others — because we are all an inseparable part of nature. My mission is to share the passion of photography, create lasting memories, and provide the best photographic experience — rain or shine, day or night.”

Testimonials

Chris was a wonderful guide. He certainly knew his beautiful country and he did everything he possibly could to help share it with us. He was extremely helpful with me as well on composition guidance (my weak point) and he would come down and suggest various angles that I wouldn't have thought about. I truly appreciated this help. I would love to come back again and spend more time in Iceland with Chris.
South Coast Tour
"The trip was magnificent and Chris did a great job showing the South Coast and getting us to places when the tourists were gone and the light was good. I really enjoyed when he also shared facts about the culture, geology and history. So interesting!"

Chris was a great guide with great knowledge of his country that he would share (beyond the photography) and had a great sense of humor. One time, my wife asked Chris "how long before a bathroom break" and he answered "two hours". Her response was "are you kidding me?" and Chris's answer was a simple "yes", only 20 minutes. I started laughing and said something like "that's something I would say". My ribs still hurt from my wife's jab :)
