Mývatn

Highlands - Arctic Exposure

We run our Mývatn tour all year. North Iceland offers many of the most beautiful waterfalls of Iceland, to mention only a few we have Dettifoss, Goðafoss & Aldeyjarfoss. On top of that, we have Lake Mývatn and the surrounding area where you can spend numerous days and always find something new to photograph. At Mývatn, we’ll photograph geothermal steam vents, bizarre volcanic formations, and fields of craters that will make you feel like you are on the moon, then check out or swim in warm, silica-rich water with an amazing blue colour, from a nearby geothermal power plant (The Blue Lagoon up North).

This tour starts and ends in north Iceland and you need to be located there at the start of the tour. You need to be wearing good hiking shoes and warm clothes and we will provide you with a recommended clothing and equipment list.
