About this workshop

In this photo workshop, we will explore Iceland’s magnificent braided glacier rivers and capture the stunning twisted landscapes from above.
You will learn to photograph with your drone. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, from unboxing to takeoff and landing to capturing stunning photographs. This workshop offers detailed tutoring on drone use with a drone specialist and a local guide with extensive drone experience.
We’ll travel to exclusive locations in Iceland along the South Coast to explore the numerous locations we have discovered and scouted through the years, capturing hidden abstract gems with our drones.
Multiple locations will be available, with stunning braided glacial rivers flowing over the sand in different colors and contrasts. These unique landscapes are every photographer’s dream.
In this workshop, we’ll have a small group of a maximum of eight photographers. This will give everyone ample space to fly their drone and get one-on-one time with their instructor. We’ll travel in one of our custom 4×4 Sprinter vans with a charging station so that you can charge your drone batteries on the go.
This is a unique workshop that strongly focuses on the beauty of glacier rivers and the endless photography opportunities they offer.

Testimonials

I joined the Highlands of Iceland Drone Photo Workshop in late Sep 2023. Our guide Skarpi, who is also the owner of Arctic Exposure, is an excellent guide with in-depth knowledge in photography and specifically drone photography. I really appreciate him sharing his expertise in drone photography and landscape photography in general. He made me feel more confident in flying my drone in the Icelandic weather, so I can take time to compose the image and get the results I really wanted.
